Introduction

CONSCIOUS is a comprehensive Home Energy Management System (HEMS) which is also capable of monitoring Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ). It is designed to make users more aware of their energy consumption and provide intelligent control over their home environment. Powered by T2T Inc.’s innovative TiC-TaC-ToE platform, CONSCIOUS integrates smart hardware, software platforms, and user interfaces to optimize energy use, enhance living quality, and reduce costs.

Key Features and Technology

Key aspects of CONSCIOUS as a product/service include:

  • Architecture: It has three main parts: Agent, Service, and Protocol, designed for easy customization.
    • Agent: Handles high-level logic for interacting with Cloud and App, realizing machine intelligence/ML, and processing information from the “Service” level. It can also send high-level commands to the “Service” layer.
    • Service: Acts as a middle layer to transform data from the protocol layer into unified, higher-level information. It also translates high-level commands from the “Agent” to the “Protocol” layer.
    • Protocol: Implements various protocols for communicating with physical devices over wired or wireless connections. Supported NICs include RS485, UART, WiFi, and Ethernet. CONSCIOUS includes complete ECHONet Lite implementation and proprietary equipment controls for Delta Electronics (PV system, storage battery).
  • Integration: It integrates with Solar PV & Battery products.
  • Data and Control: The control and data of ECHONetLite devices are passed to the App via WLAN, with the IP address sent via BLE.
  • User Roles and Authentication:
    • Possible app roles include end-user, installer, and administrator.
    • User registration can involve phone + SMS, email, or a combination.
    • The app binds with APPID (app UUID), phone number, email, and CONID (CONSCIOUS ID).
    • CONSCIOUS uses BLE to ensure the proximity of the app and authenticate it during initial setup.
    • User authentication methods include Google, Facebook, and email registration.
  • Functionality: The app will have three major functions: HEMES, ECHONetLite, and SensorData. IoT is simplified as a macro/scheduled-task within the controller.
  • Goals: To become a de facto standard for ECHONet in Japan and potentially a reference standard for global HEMS implementation. It also aims for tight integration with Delta PV and wide support for ECHONet Kaden devices.
